What we collect

When you send a quote request or contact us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, company, project location and details, and any drawings or files you attach.

Why we use it

We use it only to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, arrange the work. Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. We do not use your information for marketing and we never sell it.

Where it is kept and who sees it

Form submissions are stored by Squarespace, which hosts this website, and sent to our business email, which is provided by Google. These providers may store data outside the UK, and they protect it with approved safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. Only the people at Serte who handle your enquiry can see it.

How long we keep it

If your enquiry does not lead to work, we delete it within 24 months. If it does, we keep the project records for as long as we need them for the contract, any warranty and our legal and tax obligations.

Cookies

Squarespace sets cookies that this website needs to work, and cookies that measure visits. You can choose whether to accept the non-essential ones in the cookie banner.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Just email Office@SerteFire.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
